Ragging is a form of Abuse on a fresher or any student to any institute. Any disorderly conduct whether by word spoken or written or by act which the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any other student. Therefore to prevent, Prohibit and Redress any and instances of Ragging the Students and all forms the College. To educate the meaning of ragging and what constitutes it. To educate to Student on the ill- effects of ragging and the consequences, including legal consequences of indulging in ragging. Ragging involves abuse, humiliation (or) harassment of new entrants (or) Junior students by the senior Students. It often takes a malignant form where in the newcomers may be subjected to psychological (or) physical torture. Due to the Physical and Mental torture that is done to the student during ragging, The Students often loss their Self-Control and become mentally broken. Sometimes ragging can lead to bodily harm or even death and decide to commit suicide. Therefore we understand and implement Anti-Ragging Policy and guidelines to our college student, Government of Tamil Nadu, Government of Arts & Science College, Vanur, Villupuram District since its inception.
