Anti Drug Rally abuse has become the most common issues these days and many youth are destroying their lives by getting addicted to drugs. It's very important to sensitize our youth on the subject of drug abuse. They are ruining the lives of our youth and putting their future in a great darkness. Therefore, it becomes very important to raise awareness about it amongst our Youth and prevent them from succumbing to it. I, therefore, request all the students to refrain themselves completely from the consumption of drugs before it destroys their health, future and takes away their lives. Don't even try to touch and say something like" "It's bad for my health"." Rally and Exhibition against drug abuse was held at Government Arts and Science College, Vanur organised by Youth Red Cross. Dr. A. William, Principal (FAC) Presided over the function and said that how to support oneself and prevent the individuals, from taking drugs. Ms. Umadevi, Deputy Superiendent of Police (DSP) was the chief guest. This campaign is to promote the primarily Prevention of drug abuse, which means preventing has drug abuse it starts. Rally was ended upto TC Koot Road (Gandhi Hr. Sec Schools). Dr. N. Gunasekari, YRC, Co-ordinated the Rally and Exhibition On 2025, YRC Unit of our college organised a Grand Rally with (DSP) Ms. Umadari, and Aurovil Police station impactful anti-drug awareness program led by Dr. A.William, Principal (FAC) and the co-ordinator Dr. N. Gunasekari, this initiative aimed to combat drug abuse through education and community engagement. Staff members and students actively participated in the event. Police personal marched together through the streets of Thiruchitrambalam Mailam Road carrying banners and distributing informational leaflets. The Participants actively engaged with the community to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of drug addiction, following the rally a series of enlightening exhibition was organised, it includes various models, pictures etc. On 27.01.2025 in a view of world Anti-Drug Day Awareness Rally was organized in our college by the Youth Red Cross. The students and staffs members participated in the Rally.
